AOC Alsace Riesling
Riesling is the Rhine Valley’s most emblematic grape variety. It is characterized by its liveliness and aromas reminiscent of lemon zest. Ideal with grilled fish.
The limestone soil of the Marlenheim hillside is ideal for growing Riesling. We harvest ripe grapes and press them slowly, so as to preserve the grape’s aromas without extracting harshness. Fermentation and ageing take place in stainless steel vats, with the same objective in mind. The wine can then be enjoyed with aromas of yellow lemon, and the minerality can settle in after several years of cellaring. It’s a perfect match for grilled white fish, fresh goat’s cheese and, of course, Alsatian cuisine, from charcuterie to sauerkraut.
